Super Bomberman 2 was the first game of the series that I owned and it was one of the greats. Not only that, but it was the first to introduce a team of "Bad Bombers" which would go on to be a familiar theme throughout the SNES era and beyond.
These of course are the first and arguably best of such villains. My plan was to draw all of the bad bombers from a whole bunch of games, but as usual my interest waned before I got to any other games.

Magnet Bomber is the first opponent you'll encounter and uses magnetic powered bombs which are pulled towards you if you cross their path.

I really wanted to include all five bombers in some sort of collective picture, but I really draw a blank when trying to concieve computer drawn backgrounds. In honour of my new art wave, I tried both a new style and a new approach to the colouring. The style involved starting each colour with it's darkest shade and working up to the light, instead of having one base colour them adding shadow and highlight separately. The new approach was simply to use more colours. I usually have my base colour, one lighter shade and one darker shade, and nothing else. Here, I used a bunch of shades to get a smoother gradient and a bolder contrast, and, at the risk of sounding pompous, they turned out to be some of my best colouring jobs yet.
