So some of you might have known that SMRPG - one of my favourite Mario games - was released for the Wii's Virtual Console on friday, for the very first time in a PAL region.

Naturally I played it via methods of questionable legality back in the day but that was years ago so I couldn't resist snapping it up and imagining just how amazing it would be remade in a familiar "Epic Square" style.

To celebrate I've been doing lots more character artwork from it but these are actually old ones that are now outdated.
There was a Smithy to go with these but it's still pretty decent so it'll be bundled with the newer ones.

Go ahead and name them all. I don't mind.

Heh. Well thanks, but these aren't even my most recent versions of them! Maybe when I get the time I can finish some proper SMRPG pictures.

Okay! thanks, I started a bit yesterday (going left to right) and I'm now starting Yaridovich. It's kind of challenging to make layers on it so that I can keep the lines but erase the white inside.
The magic erase tool often butchers the lines making them a lot skinnier, so I try my best to keep them looking the same, I'm giving it my usual coloring job so I hope it'll look fine!

Wow, they look really clean for pen, I have to mouse-line my pencil lines to make it look that dark.
