PARODIUS: Twinbee by professorfandango PARODIUS: Twinbee by professorfandango
Another casualty of the "Konami just stopped making games" incident, Twinbee was an interesting series that began as a shooter, but later spun off into a puzzle game, platformer and even an RPG.

The first Twinbee game I played was Pop'n Twinbee: Rainbow Bell Adventures and I loved it. Having since played the shooters they're actually pretty difficult, they seem to be more strategic than reactionary.

I had often considered the possiblity in Parodius of a "third player," mainly due to the fact that there is a third Twinbee ship, Gwinbee, but not many other characters fit into the format. Gwinbee did at least get a tiny cameo during the credits of Chatting Parodius.

Twinbee was  a rather interesting series.
Guess Konami could consider bringing the series back with new gameplay features.

But anyway, you did that pic?

Personally I'd love to see Twinbee make a comeback.

And yes indeed, every picture in my gallery was done by me!

That's good to know.
I watched the ovas and it's a pity the series don't got full animated seasons and only radio dramas.

I've been playing Pop'n Twinbee lately and It only served to raise my nostalgia levels.

Konami really need to bring back this franchise and Gambare Goemon,I mean,I love Metal Gear and Castlevania, but we need some more of those lighthearted and colorful video games from developers that are not Nintendo.Everything is 2edgy4me nowadays.

*sighs* but with Capcom canceling Megaman Legends 3 I'm not sure if the younger generations would appreciate these type of games. However Kid Icarus Uprising gives me some hopes.

Loving the pic!

I often feel the same way, but then I start to wonder how those old series would fare these days. Would they still comprise of the same wacky hijinks, would they end up changing completely for the sake of a modern gaming market or would they just start to get stale like, sadly, some of the Mario games seem to be.

That's a good question indeed. Though still, Twinbee went so popular in Japan ( could even just call it being that gen's Pokemon) for such a long years. But indeed. I still think if they reinvented the series around here and there while keeping it in the same spirit it had in last years... Ah well tho, Otomedius seems to suggest it's not going to work out like that.

I've been checking these images out for some time, but I feel compelled to comment on this one.

Reason being: Winbee. It would seem as if she couldn't stop being cute if she tried, and you captured that very well. :)

Hahah, well thanks for the support!

Seems Winbee has more fans than I realised!
