Welcome to what will likely be my most popular picture before long. But I don't mind, because it's the Koopa Kids.
I assure you I am a fan of many things and I always have lots of fanart I'd like to do, but I'm always more inclined to do original work and there's tons of that stuff.
SO these colourful buggers are set to return in New Super Mario Bros. Wii and I couldn't be more excited about it. As I said in my scrapbook I've tried drawing the team numerous times over the years but have never managed to get more than three or four of them looking halfway decent but these ones didn't turn out too bad. Perhaps because it's the first time I drew them with wands - which they will be using in the new game - so they have given me the magical powers to get the damn thing finished.
I faved it and then unfaved it immediately so that I could fave it again.
To be completely honest I'd recommend tweaking the perspective of the background because... well, because Larry, Ludwig, Roy, and Morton. Or you might be able to get away with shifting those guys a bit forward (down, relative to the picture) and have the lineup a little bit more dynamic than just a straight line.
But WHO CARES. The characters are great and the atmosphere is great and this is mad cool.

Yeah that was part of the awkward contrivance with the dual floor. My original proper perspective background just looked horrible, and I didn't know if shifting the characters down would work. In fact I don't even remember if I tried it, but I may as well give it a shot.
Well thanks! Though I'd have liked to get a bit more variety in their poses, but since I struggle so much with them I eventually had to draw the line.
That is supposed to be lightning, though I'm not very good at drawing it. I originally didn't know whether to move it into photoshop and didn't know how to make a glow like that in Flash so I left it, but if anything is questionable enough for somebody to bring it up I'm happy enough to change it.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

One question, though, is that broken glass or lightning in the window? Depending on the answer, it might benefit from some glow.
