Professor Fandango Timeline by professorfandango Professor Fandango Timeline by professorfandango
I've been sitting on this one for a while, since I finished that last Fandango image, in fact.
I just had to mess around with the presentation until it looked presentable.

So these are all of the significant changes that the character has gone through these past...indeterminate number of years.
The first image is in fact the first ever sketch of the character.

Anybody who's seen me work will know I sketch very lightly and the sixth image was very fine even by my standards and needed a lot of tweaking before it was visible so you'll have to excuse whatever was on the back of that paper showing through.

So basically the hat and tie have remained constant.
There is in fact a single solitary half-sketch of Fandango wearing 3-D glasses but thankfully I came to my senses and realised the neon specs were much more unique.

Professor Fandango Timeline by ~professorfandango is an interesting look at how not only the artwork but the character has grown and evolved from very first sketch to what he is today. A great style and a fun, quirky character! ( Suggested by DrZime and Featured by kangel )

Thank YOU fine sir, for always believing in me. Or at least for believing in me whenever I was in earshot.

Cool!! I am a budding character designer and it's really neat to see how one's own character evolves over a period of time to what it looks like today. How inspiring to see such progress. :-3
And the design is really unique and awesome!! Well done.

A budding character designer? Excellent! I don't know many people who want to specialise in character design.
What is your endgame in this? Film? Animation? Games? Because as well as your personal favourites who you develop in private for years before unleashing them on the world, it's good practice to be able to develop characters quickly too, for if you're following some sort of brief.
Either way, just be sure to keep up the good work!

Oh, I always enjoy looking at these.

Don't you just get a swell of confidence once you realize how much you've grown as an artist?

Those unmistakable neon glasses are such a signature.

Yes I suppose it is good for your confidence. Then observing the work of others grinds it back down again.
But I think both of these things are important for improvement.
